Dr. Pullen works at the intersection of climate resilience and climate solutions that enhance the life-support system of our planet. She advises on climate risk for the financial and other sectors, and on sustainable investing from a planetary stewardship lens.
She is a climate scientist and former ocean engineering professor specialized in the ocean and atmosphere and how they communicate and interact with each other. In her research, she collects global observations through fieldwork and utilizes them to improve the fidelity of high-resolution Earth System Models using data science, open-source and cloud-native computing tools.
Steve Fox is an international business leader experienced in climate, education and social enterprise. He has lead companies working in sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Asia and Europe to engage community partners addressing climate and social impact issues.
Steve works to engage the impact investment and philanthropic sector to address ocean degradation of biomass, coastlines and livelihoods. To support that work, Steve serves on the boards of New England International Donors, the Remmer Family Foundation, Friends of Pickman Wetlands, and the Real Oyster Cult.

Oceanic Observatory of Madeira
Dr. Caldeira leads and coordinates European research programs. He is a Board Member of ARDITI (Regional Agency for the Development of Research, Technology and Innovation comprising Portugal-wide research institutions and activities), Director of the Oceanic Observatory of Madeira and scientific coordinator of the “Wakes, Turbulence & Coastal Dynamics” research group.
Founded as a research unit within ARDITI, the Oceanic Observatory of Madeira gathers the participation of several entities and institutions with research activities in Marine and Environmental sciences and congregates over 30 marine scientists and researchers from the different fields of expertise (e.g. oceanography, marine mammal ecology, biological invasions). The vision behind the Oceanic Observatory of Madeira is to aggregate expertise and provide the scientific foundation to promote a multidisciplinary holistic research approach focused on the ocean realm, namely:
The study and analysis of biogeochemical, oceanographic and meteorological datasets coupled with predictive numerical models;
Characterization of marine communities, of biodiversity patterns and associated ecological mechanisms and stressors (e.g. marine biological invasions, climate change and human-related pressures);
Research and development with remote sensing tools and applications
American Museum of Natural History
Nathalie Goodkin is a chemical oceanographer who uses modern corals to understand changes to our ocean over the past 500 years and plankton shells buried on the sea floor to understand our ocean over thousands of years. She was awarded a Singapore National Research Foundation Fellowship for her work on reconstructing the climate of the Maritime Continent and has served as a Professor at the University of Hong Kong and Nanyang Technological University. As an Associate Editor at Paleoceanography and Paleoclimatology and now as an Editor with the Journal of Geophysical Research – Oceans, she has stewarded papers on the ocean’s role in climate in the past and present.
Currently, a Curator and Professor at the American Museum of Natural History, she oversees the Climate exhibit in the Hall of Planet Earth and trains Earth Science teachers for high needs schools in addition to her research. She is also an Adjunct Research Scientist at the Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory at Columbia University. Dr. Goodkin received her A. B. in Chemistry from Harvard University and her Ph. D. in Chemical Oceanography from the MIT- Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Joint Program.

Align17
Georgie is an international technology investor and entrepreneur. She is the Co-Founder and CEO of Align17, a private platform for family offices and ultra-high-net-worth individuals inspired by the UN Sustainable Development Goals to identify vetted impact investments. She previously co-founded and was the Head of Strategy of OrchardMile.com, a luxury fashion marketplace for women. In 2012, the World Economic Forum recognized her as a Young Global Leader for her leadership on environmental issues – the first Puerto Rican to receive this honor. Georgie has worked on solar energy project financing and trained with the Climate Reality project in order to develop and communicate climate solutions.
